    Young Garden

    The Young Garden, provided a variety of challenges, among them a steep hillside and proximity to the coast which can make plant choice quite a challenge.

    The client needed as large a level ‘play’ area as possible and also an effective transition to the garage at the back of the property.

    We created stucco finished concrete retaining walls to take care of the grade issues, installed a Bluestone patio in ashlar pattern and a natural stone stairway to the garage. The steep hillside actually helps to accentuate the planting and makes an area of travel the focal point of the garden.
